Status report
I’m on the home stretch of the Slå-Om vest from Design-club.dk and so far it’s been a very pleasing knitting experience. I bought it as a kit from Lund + Lund with enough DUO Merino to make the full cardigan, but I decided to go for the vest option. The pattern is straightforward – the only issue has been my need to have pattern repeats that make sense in my own head. And creating slanted ribbing doesn’t quite do that for some reason. Still, I’m getting there and if this year’s summer turns out like last year’s, it’ll likely see plenty of use in the coming months.
And seeing as how many, many, many projects is a good thing I’ve signed up for the Lace Mystery Shawl KAL that Goddess Knits is hosting. It’s a free KAL to celebrate her anniversary as a designer and the shawl will be mandala-inspired. It starts in the middle of June and I am quite looking forward to it.
